I guess this is the next best thing… having my favourite TV show on my shelf for eternity.

Goodbye, Eli

So, it’s over. UK viewers saw the thirteenth episode of the second season of Eli Stone yesterday. Twenty-six episodes altogether is what the show got. Crime series like CSI get several times that many episodes. Crime. Someone killing someone else, and others finding out who, and why they did it. Reality shows, sit-coms go on forever and ever. I am not judging any sit-com… who am I to judge anyway. I’m just… so sad it’s over.

It’s been great following your out of the ordinary life, Eli.

Well, you have Grace… and you have Maggie, too. You heard your Father (both of them- or are they One?) speak about his fatherly pride to you. You lost one of the aneurysms, and you’re still alive. Something that seemed uselessly cruel to someone turned out to save someone else you loved. So, everything’s connected. Yep.

See you… in another shape, Eli? I’m sure we’ll meet again. You, the message… you will find a way to reach me. Reach many others.

Farewell, Eli. Godspeed!

Clarity

I just finished watching the penultimate episode of Eli Stone. I cannot believe there is only one episode left. I refuse to feed on the obvious, the superficial and the empty. I want the positive, the inspiring, the uplifting. At all times.

Eli’s dad warned passengers to get off a plane that did, in the end, crash to kill the unbelieving. Jeremy. Jeremiah. What a beautiful, meaningful name. Grace and her mom were there, and Grace was saved. For Eli. It’s all so beautiful, no?

I feel connected to these characters, part of them like they are part of me. These actors play archetypal roles and they may not even be aware of it. They may play parts they’re scared to take on in real life.

This post feels scattered all over the place but my heart’s everywhere and I feel so much.

One last episode… and so many out there will be left without their shining light.

Then again… so many out there will have discovered clarity because of this show.

Thank you, Eli Stone.

Changing the world

They say, you cannot change the whole world: change yourself first, so that you can help others. There is a television series that has changed me more than anything has changed me before.

Eli Stone is without a doubt the most important TV show the world has right now.

I started watching it because a friend of mine suggested I might like it. I didn’t actually like the first episode, but I got hooked pretty quick, nonetheless. read more »

“Eli Stone” cancelled…

I cannot believe it… but it is true. Confirmed a few minutes ago by many reliable online sources.

I could go on and on about why this show changed me… instead, I will ask each and every one of you to sign the petition to save “Eli Stone”. THANK YOU!!!

Eli Stone

Egy hi(he)tetlen(ül szeretnivaló, kedves, bájos, lökött stb.)
