Platón mondta: életünk végéig a másik felünket keressük.

Én itt most mégis olyan dalokat szeretnék bemutatni, amik nem erről a csodálatos/összetett érzésről szólnak. 🙂

Szeretném megjegyezni, hogy ezek a lenti dalok nem találomra lettek dalszöveg alapján összeszedve, hanem folyamatosan hallgatom őket, egyrészt válogatásban, másrészt előadónként. Pl.

A címekre kattintva (remélhetőleg) eljutunk a youtube videókhoz.

Brett Dennen DARLIN’ DO NOT FEAR

When I arrived in my old set of clothes
I was half a world away from my home
and I was hunted by the wolves
and I was heckled by the crows
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

Alongside my innocence I laid in bed awake
conflicted and estranged with the impetus of age
but like a phantom she crept across the floor and out the window
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

From its place on the mantel my heart was taken down
scattered in a thousand little pieces on the ground
and I below the streetlamp like an orphan with a halo
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

cuz it won’t last
worries’ll pass
all your troubles they don’t stand a chance
and sometimes it takes more than a lifetime to know
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

Your confidences fall as your faith etched in stone
neither could comfort you from the wild unknown
so bury your burning hatred like a hatchet in the snow
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

If you have a broken heart or a battered soul
find something to hold onto until they go
to help you through the hard nights
like a flask filled with hope
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

cuz it won’t last
your worries’ll pass
all your troubles they don’t stand a chance
and it always hurts the worst when it’s the ones we love the most
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

sometimes your path is marked in the sky
sometimes it fails to fit in between the lines
sometimes all you can do is say no
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

I said when I arrived in my old set of clothes
I was half a world away from my home
and I was hunted by the wolves
and I was heckled by the crows
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know
I said Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

Tori Amos SPARK

She’s addicted to nicotine patches.
She’s addicted to nicotine patches.
She’s afraid of the light in the dark.
6.58 are you sure where my spark is?
Here… Here… Here…

She’s convinced she could hold back a glacier,
(Convinced she could hold back sands of fire.)
But she couldn’t keep Baby alive.
Doubting if there’s a woman in there somewhere.
(Ha… doubting… guilty, guilty.)
Here… Here… Here…

You say you don’t want it again and again.
But you don’t, don’t really mean it.
You say you don’t want it, this circus we’re in.
But you don’t, don’t really mean it.
You don’t, don’t really mean it…

If the Divine master plan is perfection,
(Somewhere…)
Maybe next I’ll give Judas a try.
(Somewhere…)
Trusting my soul to the ice-cream assassin.
Here… Here… Here…

You say you don’t want it again and again.
But you don’t, don’t really mean it.
You say you don’t want it, this circus we’re in.
But you don’t, don’t really mean it.
You don’t, don’t really mean it…

How many fates turn around in the overtime?
Ballerinas that have fins that you’ll never find.
You thought that you were the bomb, yes well so did I.
Say you don’t want it, say you don’t want it…
How many fates turn around in the overtime?
(How many…)
Ballerinas that have fins that you’ll never find.
(Girls into good sunshinin’.)
You thought that you were the bomb, yes well so did I.
(Open around the world until…)
Say you don’t want it, say you don’t want it.
Say you don’t want it again and again.
But you don’t, don’t really mean it.
Say you don’t want it this circus we’re in.
But you don’t, don’t you don’t really mean it.
You don’t, don’t really mean it…

She’s addicted to nicotine patches.
She’s afraid of the light in the dark.

Aqualung SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN

You talk too much.
Maybe that’s your way
Of breaking up the silence
That fills you up.
But it doesn’t sound the same
When no one’s really listening

We stumble into our lives:
Reach for a hand to hold.
And any wonder
We need to find
A certain something, certain.

Turn out the light
And what are you left with?
Open up my hands
And find out they’re empty.
Press my face to the ground
I’ve gotta find a reason.
Just scratching around
For something to believe in:
Something to believe in.

You have too much.
You’re spending all your time
Collecting and discovering
It’s not enough.
And no matter how you try,
You never find the one you want.

We stumble into our lives:
Without a hand to hold.
And any wonder
We need to find
A certain something, certain.

Turn out the light
And what are you left with?
Open up my hands
And find out they’re empty.
Press my face to the ground
I’ve gotta find a reason.
Still scratching around
For something to believe in:
Something to believe in.

John Farnham YOU’RE THE VOICE

We have
The chance to turn the pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older

We’re all someone’s daughter
We’re all someone’s son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?

Chorus:
You’re the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
We’re not gonna sit in silence
We’re not gonna live with fear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!

This time
We know we all stand together
With the power to be powerful
Believing, we can make it better

Oooooooh,
We’re all someone’s daughter
We’re all someone’s son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?…

You’re the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
We’re not gonna sit in silence
We’re not gonna live with fear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!

{Instrumental[Bag Pipes(Tin Whistle)]}

Ooooooh
We’re all someone’s daughter
We’re all someone’s son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?…

You’re the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
We’re not gonna sit in silence
We’re not gonna live with fear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
(repeat until end of song)

Morcheeba ENJOY THE RIDE

Shut the gates at sunset
After that you can’t get out
You can see the bigger picture
Find out what it’s all about
You’re open to the skyline
You won’t want to go back home
In a garden full of angels
You will never be alone

But oh the road is long
The stones that you are walking on
Have gone

With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive

And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride

If you close the door to your house
Don’t let anybody in
It’s a room that’s full of nothing
All that underneath your skin
Face against the window
You can’t watch it fade to grey
And you’ll never catch the fickle wind
If you choose to stay

But oh the road is long
The stones that you are walking on
Have gone

With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive

And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride

Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride

Darren Hayes A CONVERSATION WITH GOD

We’re driving
Just me and God
It’s raining
It’s raining hard
The windows
Are steaming up
The bridge
Engulfed by fog

The rust of
The metal bridge
It beckons
It pulls me in
I argue
I scream at God
And what he’s offering

[Chorus:]
My hands fly off the steering wheel
Can’t recall getting here
If I could, I would reach behind
And turn my light off
My thoughts run off the beaten track
There’s no lighthouse or way back
Take the hand of God
And bite the feeder
No more lingering

I’m driving
I talk to God
He’s screaming
I only nod
I need to
Be where you are
The leaves and trees
Are shaking

It’s raining
The bullets melt
The hunger
Of hunger itself
It’s draining, but pain has reservoirs
It keeps for itself

[Chorus]

I’m falling
I’m not myself
I’m diving
I’m underneath
The hull of
A mighty ship
That steams away from here

The bubbles
The surface race
They shine and
They replicate
I hear it
The Voice of God
Is laced with sarcasm
In your hands

And my thoughts run off the beaten track
There’s no light
How’s the way back
Take the hand of God
And bite the feeder
No more lingering

My hands fly off the steering wheel
Can’t recall getting here
If I could, I would reach behind
And turn my light off

Zorán APÁM HITTE

Apám hitte az otthon melegét,
Apám hitte az ünnep örömét,
Apám hitte az apja örökét,
S úgy hiszem, ez így volt szép.

Apám hitte az elsõ éjszakát,
Apám hitte a gyûrû aranyát,
Apám hitte a szavak igazát,
S úgy hiszem, ez így volt szép.

S úgy hiszem, ez így volt szép.

Apám hitte a hõstetteket
Apám hitte a bölcsességeket
Apám hitte a szép verseket
S úgy hiszem, ez így volt szép.

Apám elhitte a hírmondók szavát,
Apám elhitte Chaplin bánatát,
Apám elhitte a folyók irányát,
S azt hiszem, ez így van jól.

S azt hiszem, ez így van jól.

Én is hiszek egy-két szép dologban,
Hiszek a dalban, a dalban, a dalban.
És én hiszek a város zajában,
És én hiszek benne, s magamban.
És én hiszek a mikrobarázdában,
És én hiszek a táguló világban.
És én hiszek a lézersugárban,
És én hiszek az ezredfordulóban.
És én hiszek a kvadrofóniában,
És én hiszek a fegyver halálában.
És én hiszek a folyóban, s a hídban.
És én hiszek, hiszek, hiszek apámban.

Josh Groban MACHINE

Rising above tension below
Learn from the in-between
Blinded by trust, asleep to the truth
Awakened by disbelief
Somewhere I found strength in my soul
Still you refuse to see

Are you sure I’m not all right?
‘Cause lately I’ve been feeling fine!
Every lifeline leads its own way to the heavens
But I have seen you run in circles, unforgiven
Is there anything in this world that can make you stop?!
Oh, you’re a machine!

A world of your own
Hollow inside
Careful when worlds collide
I’m filling my life
With all it can hold
Carry it on with pride

Are you sure I’m not all right?
Cause lately I’ve been feeling fine!
Every lifeline leads its own way to the heavens
But I have seen you run in circles, unforgiven
Is there anything in this world that can make you stop?!
Oh, you’re a machine!

The sun’s still above
All the rain that’s coming down
And I can feel the clouds drifting away
And now the sky is open wide!
Turn the light on, you will see things
So much clearer
Ohh, but there’s no heart
Oh, there’s no heart, and I’ve spent all this time feeling
Something you can’t feel at all!
You’re a machine!
Oh, you’re a machine.

Jeremy Camp THERE WILL BE A DAY

I try to hold on to this world with everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings, and the hurt that tries to grab
The many trials that seem to never end, His word declares this truth
That we will enter in this rest with wonders anew

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

There will be a day with no more tears
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we’ll hold on to you always

I know the journey seems so long
You feel you’re walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you’ve walked out all alone

Troubled soul don’t lose your heart
Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that’s in store
Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

There will be a day with no more tears
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we’ll hold on to you always

I can?t wait until that day where the very one
I?ve lived for always will wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced
To touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame and misery
O, this is why, this is why I sing

There will be a day with no more tears
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face

There will be a day with no more tears
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face

There will be a day he will wipe away the tears
He will wipe away the tears
He will wipe away the tears
There will be a day

Tina Dico NO TIME TO SLEEP

Who’s gonna sing the song of change
If no one can imagine life outside the beaten track
And who’s gonna stop a running train
If no one cares to dwell or no one wants to look back

Somewhere along the line you gave up askin’
When it got a little too complex
But if you don’t question what has been
Does it mean that you don’t care what’s coming next

You got no one to follow
And no one will follow you
Ain’t that a relief
That everything and everyone must grow in opposition
To resistance and contradiction
This ain’t no time to go to sleep

This ain’t no time to go to sleep
This ain’t no time to go to sleep
This ain’t no time to go to sleep
This ain’t no time to go to sleep

So who’s gonna sing the song faith
If no one prays for anything that can’t be bought and sold
And who’s gonna tell the story straight
Does anyone believe there’s still a story to be told

Somewhere along the line you just stopped walking
When the undercurrent got too strong
Some day a lonely busker will come knocking
With a soft and long forgotten song

‘Cause you got no one to follow
And no one will follow you
Ain’t that a relief
That everything and everyone must grow in opposition
To resistance and contradiction
This ain’t no time to go to sleep

This ain’t no time to go to sleep
This ain’t no time to go to sleep
This ain’t no time to go to sleep
This ain’t no time to go to sleep

Oh, this ain’t not time to go to sleep

Deus THE ARCHITECT

What is the architect doing?
He is by the riverside
What is he thinking out there?
He is committing egocide
Now isn’t that a strange thing?
Well to him it feels just
Well we guess a person’s gotta do,
What a person feels he must
He said:
I won’t throw myself from the pier
I’m gonna go home and shut up for a year
And when the year is over I’ll reappear
And have a solution
I’ve reason to believe that what I find
Is gonna change the face of human kind
And all these years before well I was blind
That’s my conclusion
Cause I’m the architect
Cause I’m the architect
Cause I’m the architect
Now the man has understood
That outer space is overrated and too
About all the problems on this earth we should
Worry now to solve them later
And so he’s brooding and alluding on a perfect design
He thinks that working on behalf of himself is a crime
He flushes out by the water, a view so divine
He’s the architect of his own fate, a man in his prime
He said:
I won’t throw myself from the pier
I’m gonna go home and shut up for a year
And when that year is over I’ll reappear
And have a solution
I’ve reason to believe that what I find
Is gonna change the face of human kind
And all these years before well I was blind
That’s my conclusion
Cause I’m the architect
Cause I’m the architect
Cause I’m the architect
And so he drew himself a pentagon
Thinking it through a geodesic dome
From the coast of Tahiti, to the hills of Rome
Step aside cause the man will take the Nobel prize home
He said:
I won’t throw myself from the pier
I’m gonna go home and shut up for a year
And when that year is over I’ll reappear
And have a solution
Now if these aspirations bother you
Well you are just you, you don’t have a clue
I’m sticking to the plan I will see it through
Let there be no confusion
Cause I’m the architect
Cause I’m the architect
Cause I’m the architect

RyanDan HIGH

Well here I am with so much to offer
Nothing to do but be here today
Giving myself it’s the best I can do if I’m needed
Use my strength in anyway

If we all work together
We would be stronger
If we all open our eyes
We could see further
If we all stand tall enough no one can beat us
If we all hold our hands up high we can carry the world

And all I ask is that we be honest
Do what we can if we’re gonna stay
I want to make you a promise
Love and understanding
Is the game I want to play

If we all work together
We would be stronger
If we all open our eyes
We could see further
If we all stand tall enough no one can beat us
If we all hold our hands up high we can carry the world

With my hands with my feet
When I dream when I sleep
From the start here inside I believe

If we all work together
We would be stronger
If we all hold our hands up high we can carry the world

If we all work together
We would be stronger
If we all open our eyes
We could see further
If we all stand tall enough no one can beat us
If we all hold our hands up high we can carry the world
