Uplifting songs (III)

John Farnham You’re the voice

We have
The chance to turn pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet before we get much older
We’re all someone’s daughter
We’re all someone’s son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?

You’re the voice try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Whoa oh oh
We’re not gonna live in silence
We’re not gonna live in fear
Whoa oh oh

This time
We know we all can stand together
We have the power to be powerful
Believing we can make it better

We’re all someone’s daughter
We’re all someone’s son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?

You’re the voice try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Whoa oh oh
We’re not gonna live in silence
We’re not gonna live in fear
Whoa oh oh

:) I thought it would be new to me, but when I played it, I realised I’ve heard this before. I just didn’t know the title, or the singer. Learning something every day. :) This song certainly leaves an impression.

I’m sure you must have heard it, it’s an Australian singer singing it… one of the best voices ever, by the way. The song does leave an impression… such power and conviction!
