Rare photo

chaplin

By Douglas Fairbanks Jr:

“A very special photo for Douglas Fairbanks Jr.s birthday, born Dec. 9, 1909. This was emailed to me by one of Doug’s daughter two years ago. As far as I know, it has never been published. She wrote: “I am attaching a lovely photo that a friend sent me a few months ago.
The grandfather of the friend of my friend is the man shown in the background – I think he was a makeup man on Charlie Chaplins film. And there we have my Dad, as a dear young boy having a moustache painted on his face! How sweet is that?!!!” –
Please share – it should be seen far and wide!”

(Thanks, Gee!)

Smile

Josh_364

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
you’ll get by

If you smile through your pain and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun shining through
For you

Light up your face with gladness,
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what’s the use of crying
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile-
If you just smile…
