An author can be a real pachyderm, non-responding to any critique,
even though their style, despite its copiousness may need some
sprucing up. An exemplary morceau of a failed oeuvre is “The
tramontane expedition”, which, in spite of the unquestionable duende
of the first chapters turns into an extratemporaneous display of heavy
description.
